MEBO, which approved to be in Chinese market by Chinese authority in 1988, is a topic drug to treat burn wound with regeneration of skin so as to replace current surgical skin-grafting burn therapy. Combing with the burn regenerative technique (MEBT), the burn therapy of MEBO, now being applied clinically in 20 countries as topical treatment of burn wounds, is able to treat various burns of any depth and any size. Nowadays, more than 5,000 hospitals in China are using this product and its therapeutic technique as standard of care for burn treatment. It has been conservatively estimated that at least 20 million patients (in all types of skin color, Asians, Caucasians and Africa-Americans) have been exposed to this product based on total product sales since 1988. These include the topical treatment for burn wounds, cutaneous ulcers, and other skin disorders. The cure rate of MEBO is 99.86% for TBSA50% burns. The mortality rate for extraordinary severe burns is only about 6.99%. There are more than 1700 published papers recording about 290,000 burn patients and 700 papers about over 80 kinds of wounds, ulcers and skin defect diseases with treatment of MEBT/MEBO.
